In the age of AI and uncertain future jobs, we all need to ENCOURAGE, SUPPORT and ADVOCATE for well rounded education, including music, dance, theater and art.
Fine arts improves academics, brain development, workforce skills, social and emotional learning but are unfortunately underfunded and undervalued in most education settings.
We must move these courses from "nice to have" to essential for every student!
Help Us Move Fine Arts Courses from "Nice to Have" to Essential!
Here are some of the projects we are working on that you can bring to your community.

Book Trina Martin for your event
Our Founder, Trina Martin, has spent over 30 years fighting for arts education. She started PAE and SAE to bring this important voice into the conversation. She is a TEDx speaker and has done several professional development sessions with teachers, parents and students. She is available as a keynote speaker for your event or to strategize with your local network on how to best organize PAE/SAE to support fine arts education in your community.

Share Your #becauseoffinearts Story
We need more voices with real stories to change the narrative on visual and performing arts education. Regardless of whether you went into the arts industry or not, your (and/or your student's) experience in these courses built skills that contributed to your success. Help us get this message to decision makers and the next generation of parents trying to maneuver the education system.
Get Your Advocacy Toolkit and PAE/SAE Swag!
We have all the tools you need to advocate for fine arts in your community. Buttons, t-shirts and stickers to unify all arts parents and students, rack cards and flyers to hand out and post in public spaces, and a 4 page advocacy toolkit to guide your advocacy strategy.
Support the Movement
Parents for Arts Education is a nonprofit organization that brings together parents and students, current and alumni, to join teachers to Encourage, Support and Advocate for strong dance, music, theater and visual arts education in our schools and communities. By sharing our experiences with decision makers and the next generation of fine arts families, we can ensure parents are making informed decisions about their child’s education experiences while we are joining fellow advocates to improve education policy and funding for these essential courses.
